Lunch at @phonguyen_1989 on Gouger St: they only opened not too long ago, and they have northern Vietnamese style food, which is not very common here in Adelaide. The place is fairly no frills, and the food is absolutely delicious! . Beef rib signature pho: the soup tastes quite different from the typical southern Vietnamese pho. The flavour is lighter but delicious! That big beef rib was absolutely perfect . It was so tender that it literally fell off the bone! Such a good bowl of pho on a cool day . Special Ha Noi fried rice with rolling beef and pickled choy sum: the fried rice was very good, and the beef was essentially stirfried, and full of flavour. Super yummy! . Sugarcane juice: I always love a good sugarcane juice.

Like most of the other reviews, it was a different style pho to get used to. Didn’t realise there was this difference between northern and southern pho. So no basil and bean sprouts or sirracha. Had their own style chilli sauce. Flavours were still nice and it was a different experience. So can’t really be biased with the usual southern pho we have. lol. Had the red wine stewed beef pho. Reminded me of Bo Kho mixed with pho. Was an interesting mix. Service was quick and felt like a usual busy, high turn over, popular pho eatery.

Quite a crowded restaurant. And a bit of a wait. But the food was pretty good. Really enjoyed the rare beef pho. The soup was clear and broth was delicious and heart warming. Decent amount of beef in it. The beef ribs pho has quite little meat as it shrinks away from the bones. Love that they are generous with condiments to make the soup flavoursm. Great food during winter season.

Simply delicious pho! Generous portion and prices. I got the small bowl ($17) and it was very satisfying. They have both indoor and out door seating with heaters. Order at counter. Only thing is there is some confusion on whether to be seated first or place an order first – hope it can be clearer in the future. Fast service. Will be coming back.
